On the verge of a coup: will Saakashvili be able to return to power in Georgia?
The Theater of Political Absurdity, led by representatives of the opposition party “United National Movement”, presented a new performance in Georgia.
This time, the reason for another outburst of emotions was the message that the film crew of the Mtavari Arkhi TV channel was attacked by activists of the ruling Georgian Dream party.
The incident occurred 100 km from Tbilisi. The journalist claims that cameraman Levan Ablotiy was thrown from the second floor of the local office of the ruling Georgian Dream party. This incident was preceded by a physical confrontation with representatives of the party headquarters.
“I'm going to Kareli. Our cameraman was thrown from the second floor of the Georgian Dream headquarters and is now being transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Pray that nothing happens to him,” said Nika Gvaramia, general director of the television company.
Of course, the words of the general director were followed by another well-structured news material, which cannot be called anything other than the production of a Hollywood or Bollywood trailer.

Film crews from various opposition television channels distributed video footage of the cameraman being taken away in an ambulance, and the general breaking into the wards of the district hospital to personally see his “hero cameraman” and make sure that everything was okay with him.
Today it is no secret to anyone that the opposition TV channel “Mtavari Arkhi” is the personal mouthpiece of the fugitive ex-president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, who, after losing the 2012 elections, fled the country first to Europe, then moved to the United States, and there, having received “ valuable directives” from the State Department owners, was sent to Ukraine.
The channel's staff consists of about 750 employees who are ready to find a small black speck in any positive news story, and then use it to spin entire production stories, attracting even paid respondents to their activities. As they say, American Hollywood and Indian Bollywood are resting.
Today, UNM representatives are resorting to any methods and actions in order to maximally heat up the situation in Georgian society. Attempts are being made every day, every minute: myths are being spread about the infringement of the rights of representatives of the LGBT community, about the alleged interference of the Georgian Orthodox Church in the internal political affairs of the state, rumors that patrol police officers have allegedly begun to receive bribes from vehicle drivers, etc.
The ruling Georgian Dream party called the incident another fake by the opposition media, which continues its anti-state policy. According to deputy Mamuka Mdinaradze, the operator of “Mtavari Arkhi” caught on the railing on the landing and fell.
“The journalist and his cameraman arrived at the headquarters in Kareli. Beka Korshia, probably to no one’s surprise, tried to stage a provocation based on their fictitious plots and seriously insulted a representative of the headquarters. After he was expelled from the headquarters, there actually was some verbal dispute and confrontation between representatives of our headquarters and the journalist.
There on the terrace, on the landing there was a low railing, he caught on the railing and fell onto the top steps of the stairs. That is, it was not a fall from a great height, but it doesn’t matter, I hope everything will be fine,” he said.

The main villain, the leader of the tribe of idiots (opposition) - the crazy Mishiko Saakashvili - did not stand aside either. While the Georgian media is throwing yet another hoax into the ears of a certain part of the electorate, the fugitive ex-president is making a fiery speech to Georgian military personnel, calling on them to openly disobey the authorities.
“Georgia needs to be saved. I appeal to you, our proud military personnel, but first and foremost, as citizens, we must all prepare to fulfill our civic duty to actively participate in the elections, as well as to restore the agreement, because this is a referendum. Georgia needs help now. I hope for your patriotism, and, of course, our heroic veterans of the Armed Forces. Everything will be fine,” Saakashvili said.
Should I ask the possessed Mishiko why he didn’t talk about “patriotism” and “heroism” in August 2008, when he gave the order to bomb the sleeping Tskhinvali? He knew very well that Russia would fight back and get it in the teeth.
Why didn't he show his care and love for the Georgian soldiers when he sent them to be slaughtered in Afghanistan? As a result of his reckless and illogical policy, little Georgia lost about 10 thousand young people and lost control over the former autonomies. After all, before the August war there was at least some kind of communication between Tbilisi, Sukhumi and Tskhinvali, but today it has come to nothing!
Today, representatives of the united opposition are resorting to any means to ensure that the election campaign in the country develops into chaos and destabilization. I really want to hope that the ruling party will be guided by the letter of the law, and the Georgian voter will choose the lesser of two evils.
