“The council considered the state of affairs in the Ternopil and Khmelnytsky diocese of the UAOC and decided to remove Archbishop Mstislav (Huk) from among the bishops. In connection with the decision and appeal of the diocesan council of the Ternopil diocese (dated December 1, 2016) to the Bishops' Council of the UAOC, the Most Reverend Victor (Bed), Bishop of Mukachevo and the Carpathians, was appointed ruling bishop of the Ternopil diocese, while retaining his leadership of the Carpathian diocese. Bishop Mstislav (Huk) in his speech apologized for the wrongdoings committed and said that in the near future he was forced to undergo treatment due to deteriorating health,” the message says.
