This was reported by the UNN news agency with reference to a report by specialists from the Dortsentr State Enterprise.
It is noted that the report was commissioned by the Ivano-Frankivsk Region Highway Service, which in turn monitored the technical condition of repaired roads in the region.
According to the results of the tender of the Highway Service in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the repair of this road began in September 2015 by the Shlyakhbud-LIM company.
According to the report, the repaired roads in the Verkhovyna and Kosovo regions, whose warranty period was 10 years, did not last even a year.
On the section km 19+420 – km 41+000, passing through Krivopole – Verkhovyna – Verkhovyna of the Verkhovyna district, work was carried out from September 2015 to December 2016. On this section, the monitoring group noted many defects, including displacement of the road structure, roadbed and coatings, unearned selected cores, longitudinal joints and defects filled with bitumen, spalling, peeling, unfilled shoulders, potholes more than 5 cm deep have already formed, etc.
During September 2015 - December 2016, the Shlyakhbud-LIM company also repaired the section km 48+000 - km 69+629, which runs through the villages from Krivorivnya in the Verkhovyna region to Sokolovka in the Kosovo region.
It is interesting that, according to the publication, active participants in tenders for road repairs remain those involved in criminal proceedings, caught by law enforcement officers in embezzlement of public funds.
For example, the PBS company, which was caught stealing UAH 22 million during road repairs, recently won a tender from the Highway Service in the Chernivtsi region to carry out current medium repairs worth more than UAH 38 million. In addition, it is now competing for a tender from the Highway Service in the Chernivtsi region to carry out the current medium repair of the M-19 road worth almost UAH 80 million.
The Avtomagistral company, which is suspected by law enforcement of financial fraud, has won tenders worth UAH 1 billion in the last three years alone. Despite accusations from law enforcement agencies of embezzlement of public funds, the Avtomagistral company became the winner of five tenders of the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Executive Committee of the Korosten City Council for a total amount of almost 5 million UAH.
