This decision was made at the headquarters of the coordination center for work with displaced people in Ivano-Frankivsk, reports the Firtka publication.
The center explains that men are increasingly calling the hotline at the headquarters, asking about prices for vacations in the region and entertainment. They also talk about cases of abuse of hospitality by refugees.
“The situations are different, and the people who come are also different. There are few cases of abuse of Carpathian hospitality, but some of them exist, and we, together with the regional state administration departments and law enforcement agencies, are trying to solve them. Most of the problems were with immigrants from Crimea. They demanded both settlement and money from us. At the same time, they didn’t want to look for work and housing in two months. They said that the state owes them everything, since they are refugees. We do not deal with refugees, but only with displaced persons. We help them find shelter for a short period of time,” the publication quotes the head of the center, Anna Krisyuk.
The Coordination Center carefully checks information about settlers. Copies of passport data are transferred to the SBU to study who and for what purpose people are traveling.
As Navigator reported, Ukrainian security forces promised to organize a “corridor” so that civilians could leave Slavyansk, while promising a thorough check of those leaving.
