In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was detained on suspicion of committing a traffic accident, which resulted in the death of a 10-year-old child. The serviceman is also suspected of trying to hide the consequences of the accident.

The information was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code (violation of road safety rules or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles).
An official investigation was also ordered, based on the results of which a decision will be made against the serviceman in accordance with current legislation.
Как reports the local publication “Kurs”, Yesterday, a 22-year-old Audi driver hit a 10-year-old boy in the village of Mykulychyn. The child died. The driver tried to hide the traces of the crime, took the child into the car to supposedly take him to the hospital, but on the way he left the body on the river bank and hid the car.
Law enforcement officers found and detained the driver; he turned out to be a serviceman of one of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a senior soldier. He showed the place where he left the dead child and where he hid the car.
