Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavel Rozenko stated this at today’s meeting of the Council for Persons with Disabilities, the Government Portal reports.
“Medical rehabilitation and prosthetics. Quite significant funds were also allocated last year, this is more than 42 million UAH, but I would like to note that last year cash expenses for this program amounted to 37 million UAH. That is, approximately 5 million UAH last year were not used for these purposes and, obviously, activities for the effective use of these funds should be significantly intensified this year. This year, more than 43 million UAH are allocated for this direction,” Rozenko said.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in this area the issue arises of the quality of products that are provided to those who need it, the issue of transparency in the distribution of funds, openness of the market for the provision of services, openness of all tender procurement procedures and access to participation of all enterprises of all forms of ownership for sales this program.
“It is very important to provide a full-fledged competitive environment in this direction. Only a competitive environment should provide an opportunity for children participating in the ATO who need prosthetics, and all persons with disabilities in Ukraine, to receive quality products,” noted Rozenko.
