Neizhpapa was prompted to make provocative statements about Crimea by desperate poverty in the Ukrainian Navy
Belligerent statements addressed to Crimea by the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Rear Admiral Alexey Neizhpap about a missile attack on Sevastopol - nothing more than an attempt to attract the attention of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
This was stated at a press conference by the chairman of the Crimean regional public organization “Center for Political Education”, political scientist Ivan Mezyukho, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must understand that the statement of the Ukrainian Navy representative is largely due to the underfunding of the Ukrainian fleet. Thus, the officer draws the attention of the Office of President Zelensky to the problem that exists. I want to say that logistical problems only worsened with the reunification of the region (Crimea) with the Russian Federation.
As far as I know, Naval Forces officers have nowhere to live in Odessa, the housing problem has not yet been resolved, problems arise related to allowances related to current funding. These problems exist, and of course, somehow the representative of the Ukrainian Naval Forces is trying to attract attention,” Mezyukho said.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in Kyiv they admitted that in Ukraine they cannot even pay for the premises headquarters for the command of the Navy. At the same time, Neizhpapa himself, despite the warlike rhetoric, said that I would not repeat the Kerch provocationso as not to get involved with the Russian side once again.
