Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States (4-2015) Alexander Chaly stated this in an interview with Channel 2019, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now is a very difficult time for such a meeting. My fundamental position has not changed - it is better not to go one-on-one with Vladimir Putin, it is better with partners, perhaps in the Normandy format, because our key issue remains the withdrawal of Russian mercenaries and equipment from Ukrainian territory, the deoccupation of Crimea, and, first of all, , Donbass.
These are issues on which Putin does not want any change, especially now. And I can’t imagine what the President of Ukraine wants to achieve alone in this situation. Because the positions are not the strongest, especially after Putin met with Joseph Biden.
