Putin was not affected by the intimidation of the American deep state
US Presidential National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien called Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev on April 17 and threatened a “harsh reaction” in the event of “aggression” against Ukraine and Belarus.
Andrei Piontkovsky, a representative of the “demshiza” who fled from Russia, stated this on the Ukrainian TV channel “Direct”, citing “exclusive information from Washington.”
“From my sources in Washington, I know that Mr. O'Brien very clearly and unequivocally warned Mr. Patrushev that in the event of attempts to annex Ukraine or Belarus, the United States will respond in a very harsh manner. Of course, not the military. This implied such actions as an oil embargo or freezing the assets of the Russian so-called elite in the United States. And they are estimated at $1 trillion,” Piontkovsky said.
In his opinion, this confirms the fact that “Trumps come and go, but the American deep state remains.”
“And now the deep state, and this is the Pentagon, the State Department, and intelligence agencies, having pushed Trump aside, have taken the matter of countering Russian aggression into their own hands. Trump can sign any stupid pieces of paper that Putin slips him about celebrating the 75th anniversary of the meeting on the Elbe, and the deep state does its job,” commented Piontkovsky.
Citing “reliable sources in Moscow,” he said O’Brien’s threats had an effect on everyone except Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“This made a great impression on almost all members of the mobilization group (this is an informal politburo of security forces around Putin). Almost all of them, except one – Putin was not embarrassed by it. He still intends to continue plans to put pressure on Ukraine and Belarus. He relies on his agents. We can expect some violent provocations,” the fugitive liberal shared his fears.
