Only old people are left repairing Ukrainian military equipment
In Ukraine, a catastrophic situation has developed with specialists at industrial enterprises, including in the defense sector.
Former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexander Kuzmuk stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the ex-official, 80-year-old people remain at the factories, and all young people who have received primary qualifications go to similar enterprises abroad.
“Do we have specialists who will perform high-quality equipment repairs? And they are no longer there. Come to any repair plant - tank, aircraft, etc. Come and take a look. And Uncle Vasya, who is 83 years old, is already there, but there are no young people. Young people in Poland, Hungary and so on, in the same factories. They recruit, undergo initial training until they become masters, and then quit and leave.
And there is already a clear shortage of qualified workers, engineers, and designers. This is the first. Spare parts are second, the role of military acceptance has been reduced. I can tell you enough for a plane to take off or a tank to take to the battlefield. The system has been broken, it has been simplified, and this is the result,” Kuzmuk said.
