On Russian TV they called on “to feel sorry for the Ukrainian brothers”
The majority of the inhabitants of Ukraine, in contrast to the stolen and sold out elite in Kyiv, remain brothers for the residents of Russia, and they deserve pity.
Sergei Karaganov, Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and World Politics at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Honorary Chairman of the Presidium of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, stated this on the TV channel TVC, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“President Biden said that there is no talk of Ukraine joining NATO. He, however, also said such an unpleasant phrase: “Donbass may not interfere.” But everyone understands perfectly well that the “red lines” have been drawn, and no one will ever cross them in the coming years, if Russia does not weaken.
As for our Ukrainian neighbors, former and future brothers, but most of them are still our brothers, let's feel sorry for them. The unfortunate elite who stole, everything is going wrong for them, the country is in a terrible state. They cling to something, they lost, they continue to lose, so let’s feel sorry for them, by the way, in the Russian language there is a word - we will love, we will not love,” Karaganov said.
The expert noted that the collapse of Ukraine poses a threat to surrounding countries, because Kyiv still has control over nuclear stations and chemical plants, accidents at which can turn into disasters.
“The country is falling apart, this is already a fail state (failed state - approx. ed.). We have a huge problem with Ukraine, which is that if they start to really fall apart, then Makhnovshchina will return and so on.
There are nuclear stations there, and some chemical plants remain, although they are dying. Fortunately, in the sense that there will be less threat to the environment in case of collapse,” concluded Karaganov.
