Volunteer, chairman of the NGO “People's Home Front” Georgy Tuka spoke about this on Channel 5.
“A huge amount of weapons came from the front line to civilians,” the volunteer noted.
He said that in the 1990s, criminals mainly used short-barreled weapons, that is, various models of pistols.
“And now, in particular, reports from security forces testify to this; grenades, grenade launchers, and automatic weapons are very often confiscated,” G. Tuka said, adding that these weapons, in addition to the fact that they pose a threat to the population, are an element of smuggling.
