For today's meeting with Poroshenko in Lviv, cadets and officers of the military academy in civilian clothes were herded
Cadets and officers of the National Academy of Ground Forces were ordered to create a crowd at today's meeting with current President Petro Poroshenko in Lviv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Presidential candidate Anatoly Gritsenko wrote about this on Facebook.
According to him, Poroshenko is breaking the law and dragging the military into his “dirty politics.”
“Today in Lviv, cadets and officers of the National Academy of Land Forces received an order: everyone is ordered to come to a public meeting of candidate Poroshenko with the ‘local community,’” he wrote.
“In order for the military to look like a ‘community’, they were given the command to everyone to change into civilian clothes. For cadets living in the city, in order to change clothes in advance, the third pair of scheduled classes was canceled,” says Gritsenko.
According to him, the military “back-up” should create the appearance of “mass support for Poroshenko by Lvov voters.”
“The head of the Academy, General Pavel Tkachuk, could have stopped this sabbath, but he did not answer my call. Well, silence is also an answer. I won’t forget,” said the presidential candidate.
He appealed to Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko and Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios with an appeal to “stop this sabbath” and prevent violations of the law.
