Fierce fighting in the north of the LPR
Fierce fighting is taking place on the front line in the north of the LPR. Military correspondent Sergei Belous reports this on his blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the Bakhmutka area in the LPR there is no smell of the Minsk Agreements. I spent that night on the front line in Zhelobok, the hottest spot on the northern part of the front. From the Ukrainian side, everything was flying - AGS, RPGs, large-caliber machine guns were working, moreover, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired more than 70 shells (including from self-propelled guns), more than ten of which were 122mm, at the positions of the LPR army. I was lucky - but next to the dugout where my partner Max Fadeev was, an 82mm mine exploded five meters away. Thank God, there were no casualties,” Belous said.
“Now the village of Zhelobok in the LPR is complete post-apocalyptic ruins. Constantly under fire. I was here a year ago - many places are unrecognizable. The last civilian left in the summer - her house was hit by two 122 mines, she miraculously survived - the soldiers pulled her out,” the military correspondent also reports.
