According to the technical director of Simferopolselmash, Anatoly Khudikov, turning off and then turning on electricity with increased voltage led to the failure of electronic equipment.

“The power outage had a very bad effect on the enterprise, because after the power was supplied, an overvoltage appeared in one phase, the protection electronics did not have time to work, and a lot of our electronic equipment burned out. Several motors of the machines and their electronic parts also burned out,” Khudikov noted.

According to him, the plant is now completely out of power due to the continued high voltage at the input. Experts are assessing the amount of damage.

Until the equipment is replaced, Anatoly Khudikov noted, the plant will not operate.

As PolitNavigator reported, on December 3, in the first half of the day, consumers in the center of Simferopol reported continuous power surges in the power grid.
