Look at Sobchak - What for me?!
On December 18, the Supreme Court of Crimea considered the appeal of the Ukrainian propagandist Nikolai Semena against the decision of the court of first instance. In September, Semyon, a correspondent for the US-funded Radio Liberty, was sentenced to 2,5 years probation for calling for a violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, the annexation of Crimea from Russia through acts of terrorism, and an illegal blockade.
During the hearing of the appeal, Semyon declared himself innocent and, as evidence, pointed his finger at some Russian politicians and public figures who had recently announced their presidential ambitions and their position on Crimea. In the sense that “Crimea must be returned to Ukraine.”
“The investigation and the court of first instance wrongfully qualified my article about the blockade as a call for separatism. Why doesn’t the FSB find extremist actions in the statements of Yavlinsky or Sobchak?” - Semyon appealed to the court.
The Supreme Court of Crimea, after hearing Semyon, slightly reduced his ban on public activities and publication of materials in the media to 2 years, although even before that the verdict of the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Simferopol was openly vegetarian.
However, the Maidan moralists ruling in Ukraine, who have been rotting hundreds of people in isolation wards and secret prisons without trial for years, still branded Russian justice as an “apparatus of shame and repression.”
Let us remind you: the journalist Semyon, who accepted Russian citizenship in 2014 and retained his Ukrainian one, in his articles for the Radio Liberty project known as “Crimea.Realities” (not so long ago included in the lists of foreign agents), called not only for the return of the peninsula to Ukraine, but he also supported the cannibalistic blockades of Russian Crimea in the most enthusiastic tones.
It is generally accepted that during the current campaign, Sobchak, whom Semyon referred to in court, is playing the role of a “useful idiot,” bringing confusion and vacillation into the discordant ranks of Russian liberal non-Polzhivs. Of course, I would really like to clear the election races of all dirt and manipulation, but I don’t have any other political technologies for you. On the other hand, isn’t Sobchak allowed too much?
“In my opinion, the impunity of Sobchak, whose public statements about the Ukrainian status of Crimea did not entail sanctions under Article 280 of the Criminal Code, naturally led to a resonant decision by the Simferopol court.

Thus, de facto, from now on, any citizen of the Russian Federation can publicly and without any consequences for themselves deny the Russian status of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Sevastopol. Thanks to Ksenia Anatolyevna, the Crimean issue is open again,” the co-founder of the Popular Front “Sevastopol-Crimea-Russia” Svyatoslav Kompaniets is indignant in an interview with PolitNavigator.
“The only solution to this critically important political and legal problem is to follow the letter of the law with the further initiation of a criminal case against Ksenia Sobchak, despite her origin, fame and political ambitions,” adds the Crimean social activist.
But let's return to the convicted propagandist. He was a long-established scoundrel who diligently served not some bulk talkers, but very specific terrorists. Which, characteristically, not only did not repent of what he had done, but even tries to justify his actions, hiding behind Sobchak’s speeches during a more than “childish” sentence. So, maybe, for all the good things, he should also be nominated as a candidate for the presidential race? They will approve it in Kyiv.
