An emergency occurred during the construction of the railway part of the Crimean Bridge
An emergency occurred on the railway part of the Crimean Bridge under construction - a span fell into the water.
This was reported by the operator of the Uprdor “Taman” structure, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noted that an emergency situation occurred during the installation of the span. In a video published by eyewitnesses, builders say that the span has turned over and is partially in the water.
“Here she is in the water. It's good that it didn't all collapse.
- The whole span. He's lying upside down, it turns out. Lying upside down.
“They probably just tied them down, but they didn’t fasten them yet.” The whole span is lying around.
“It’s secured, the fasteners are sticking out.” “Everything has been torn off the fasteners,” the builders are talking to each other.
As Kryminform reports, the bridge supports were not damaged as a result of the emergency. Now a commission is working on the site, and the collapsed structure will be raised from the water area.
“The supports are not damaged, the load-bearing capacity is not impaired. The span itself, once in the water, will be removed from the water area by cranes after the necessary preparation. A new one will be installed in place of the fallen span. According to preliminary estimates, this will take 30-45 days,” said Uprodor Taman.
