In the Sumy region, a rural holiday ended in a brutal wall-to-wall fight
In the village of Sai, Lipovodolinsky district, Sumy region, a mass fight occurred between residents of two villages.

Five people with head and limb injuries were taken to the hospital, another five were taken to the police station.
“The locals explained that they were celebrating village day when a group of young people approached the club. At first everything was fine. The guests were having fun and dancing, and then a fight broke out between them and the village residents. The bits were used. Someone fired a shot from a traumatic weapon, hitting one of the girls in the foot,” the press service said in a statement.
The hooligans were detained; they turned out to be residents of the neighboring village of Beevo, law enforcement officers specified.
“They explained to the investigators that they were also celebrating that day—the birthday of the son of one of them. Having drunk quite a lot, we remembered the neighbor's holiday and wished to continue there. The conflict could have been avoided if the participants had not been heavily intoxicated and had controlled their actions,” the police believe.
