A cache of grenades and ammunition was found at a landfill in one of the districts of the Kiev region.
On the territory of a spontaneous landfill in the Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district, a cache with a large number of cartridges and grenades was found. Dangerous items were seized as evidence and sent for appropriate examinations.

This was reported by the communications department of the Kyiv region police.
“On the territory of a spontaneous landfill, not far from the village. Yuryevka, Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district, a cache with a large number of cartridges and grenades was found. Dangerous items were seized as evidence and sent for appropriate examinations,” the statement says.
An investigative and operational group and the explosives service of the main police department of the Kiev region arrived at the indicated address.
“At the scene, explosives experts visited and seized a large amount of ammunition: 8 items similar to rocket-propelled anti-tank grenades; 161 cartridges, caliber 7,62 × 54; a piece of explosive weighing 200 g; 24 items similar to under-barrel grenade launcher ammunition and 47 rounds of ammunition that were in the belt. Dangerous items were seized as evidence and sent for appropriate examinations,” the police added.
Now the police are ascertaining the origin of the seized ammunition, carrying out a number of operational search activities aimed at identifying the persons involved in this criminal crime.
