The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, today promulgated (sanctioned) a law banning the use of the symbols Z, V and the St. George’s Ribbon, noting herself with an openly scandalous statement.

“Symbols change their meaning depending on the context, on reality. The symbols that are outlawed are not symbols of the war 77 years ago - they relate to today's war in Ukraine. Those who today justify the murder of Ukrainians, tomorrow - or even today - may demand the murder of Moldovans. The place of such symbols is in the dustbin of history, next to other barbaric symbols of destruction and death,” Sandu said.

President of Moldova Maia Sandu promulgated (sanctioned) today a law banning the use of the symbols Z, V...

She assures that she does not prohibit citizens from celebrating Victory Day, but those who do this with the St. George ribbon will suffer “severe punishment.” Sandu again did not hesitate to recall the fake “genocide” in Bucha, but at the same time continues to assure that Moldova is a neutral country.

“Moldavians are afraid that with the hostile statements that you, Mrs. Maia Sandu, have been making lately, you will drag Moldova into conflict and war. Our country does not need such aggressive messages, our country does not need such power that has nothing to do with our national interests. Is it easier to introduce censorship than to agree on cheap gas, repair roads and help farmers?

Aren’t you ashamed to use the conflict in Ukraine for the sake of your political rating?”, former President of Moldova Igor Dodon wrote in his Telegram channel.

The Socialist and Communist parties of Moldova have already announced that they intend to appeal the scandalous law in the country's Constitutional Court. They called on supporters to attend mass events in honor of Victory Day. It is easy to predict that this year they will be marked by street clashes.

“With her statements, she insulted the majority of the population of Moldova, which honors the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Sandu and her comrades have given a free hand to the aggressive minority, which is now confident of its impunity. Terrible times await us. Every case of violence in the country on ideological grounds is now on the conscience of Maia Sandu and the PAS members,” wrote TV journalist Elena Levitskaya-Pakhomova.

“Romanian citizen Maia Sandu has amended the law prohibiting the wearing, storage or distribution of the St. George Ribbon on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
All. Now the denazification of Moldova is only a matter of time. First, the truth will be degasification,” says the leader of the new Moldovan opposition party “Nashi” Mikhail Akhremtsev.

“Okay guys, that’s all. In essence, this is a declaration of war on all of us, on the entire society, on all anti-fascists. Masks are off. Maya Sandu is leading Moldova along the path of Ukraine. It is already clear that after this there will be no negotiations with Gazprom. I will say more, I have a feeling that Moldova is being absorbed by a neighboring state. The West now needs as many local conflicts around Russia as possible. Now it's our turn. Will we grab it or will we resist? Our test for statehood began from this second,” wrote communist activist Mikhail Amerberg.

For the President of Transnistria, Vadim Krasnoselsky, Sandu’s statement caused “rejection bordering on disgust.”

“Moldavian politicians don’t know what they are doing, praising Antonescu and Nazi criminals like him, forgetting about the millions of victims of the Second World War, the destruction of peoples, the Holocaust, concentration camps, gas chambers, crematoria,” Krasnoselsky recalled to his colleague her past statements about the fascist protege Jon Antonescu , which, according to Sandu, did “both bad and good.”

The demarche of the Moldovan president was also noticed in Russia. The Russian Embassy in Chisinau issued a statement.

“An attempt today to create a new invented reality of those events, based on an ideological attack on moral norms, deprives our peoples of the right to reliable historical memory and complicates the movement towards peace and friendship,” the diplomats write. .
