He had Ukrainian roots through one of his parents and stood up to defend Ukraine from Russian armed aggression. At the front since 2015, he fought as part of the DUK PS. He fought in the Svetlodar Bulge in 2016-2017, and took part in the assault on the “Magic Forest”. Later he transferred to the 72nd brigade. There is a small son left in Latvia. In addition, according to his information, in the area of ​​the same Svetlodarsk the next day, another Ukrainian soldier from the same brigade, a native of Bila Tserkva, Voitenko Ivan (“Uncle Vanya”), born in 1974, died as a result of an explosion.
