Crimean dirt was dug up on Tigipko
A real commotion among the “Ukrainian patriots” was caused by the news of the possible replacement of the bankrupt Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk with a former comrade-in-arms of Viktor Yanukovych and business partner of Petro Poroshenko, banker Sergei Tigipko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The archives revealed a speech by Tigipko from 1994 on the air of the “Rush Hour” program, hosted by the famous journalist Vlad Listyev. Tigipko’s words contain real sedition - he admits that Crimea, where President Yuri Meshkov ruled at that moment, is developing faster than Ukraine and wants to be independent from it.
“I have recently been to Crimea twice, meeting there with political leaders and employees of the National Bank. I have the opinion that Crimea does not want to be either Russian or Ukrainian. He wants to be Crimean. He has a natural desire to restore order on his territory himself and, in my opinion, there are quite strong personnel there who know what needs to be done. At least they are reforming, trying to reform something in Crimea and doing these reforms faster than in Ukraine,” Tigipko said.
