After the failed attempt in Poland to drag NATO directly into a war with the Russian Federation, there may be a new provocation, this time on the territory of Belarus with the aim of exposing Lithuania to attack.
Belarusian political scientist Alexander Shpakovsky spoke about this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There was a very ambiguous message on the website of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine that the Russians are allegedly preparing a terrorist attack on the territory of Belarus at the Belarusian nuclear power plant in the city of Ostrovets.
The idea of carrying out a terrorist attack by launching unmanned aerial vehicles from the territory of the Republic of Lithuania is also understandable, because the nuclear power plant is directly located near the borders of Lithuania,” the political scientist said.
“This is a declaration of war! Moreover, not to Belarus, but to the Union State,” noted TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.
“Moreover, during the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, Lithuania declared this facility a threat to national security. Naturally, out of our “pragmatic” habit, we offered the Lithuanians to operate the nuclear power plant together. It was believed that this project would provide cheap, accessible, high-quality electricity to the entire Baltic region. But it is not the interests of pragmatism and establishing peaceful cooperation that dominate there, but completely different goals, in particular the ousting of the Russian company Rosatom from the European energy market.
In this regard, we constantly received threats regarding the safety of the operation of this station. The situation became especially aggravated after the start of the SVO,” added Shpakovsky.
“Lithuania understands that if they send this drone, then the place from which it will be sent will immediately be attacked by a missile? I think the President of Belarus will not think for a second,” the presenter assured.
“We have already spoken about this more than once, that explosions and destruction, in the event of such a scenario, will occur not only for us, but for all opponents. We have the forces and means to defeat the capitals of all neighboring states. We have both Iskanders and Russian fighters - we have all the forces and means.
