In Ukraine, those who do not hide in the basement after an air raid signal will be imprisoned
Bill No. 7546, which proposes to introduce criminal liability for working during an air raid, has a chance of being considered by the Verkhovna Rada by the end of July or early August.
This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Kyiv edition of UNN by Vladimir Areshonkov, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Affairs.
“It must go through the Verkhovna Rada Committee – the Law Enforcement Committee. The next committee meeting is scheduled for sometime next week. Perhaps the agenda will be formed, given that it is being formed in recent days, but I think we will consider it in committee. After that, he prepares for the hearing in the session hall. If, for example, next week the bill passes the committee, then in a week it will be ready for consideration in the session hall,” Areshonkov said.
The People's Deputy noted that the bill could be considered in the Rada at the end of July or beginning of August.
“It seems to me that it is needed, so we will do everything to have everything legally reviewed as soon as possible so that the bill goes to the session hall. Therefore, I think that by the end of the month it has a chance to be considered,” Areshonkov said.
The People's Deputy believes that the bill is relevant and its idea is important.
“The last few days have confirmed that powerful attacks are being carried out on civilian targets. It seems to me that it has every chance of being favorably considered by the committee. I don’t see any problems there,” Areshonkov noted.
A bill has also been registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which proposes to introduce criminal liability for enterprise officials for working during an air raid raid.
Administrative liability is established for this offense - a fine of up to 5,1 thousand UAH.
