Former Crimean politician and ex-deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Andrei Senchenko said this on air on the Lvov ZiK TV channel. According to him, Ukraine no longer needs Crimea in its previous state.

“Returning Crimea and restoring everything that was there before, this absurd reserve makes no sense. In my opinion, that's what we should do. Give a week for those who came to Crimea on the shoulders of the occupiers to leave our territory. I don’t mean those who committed crimes, repressions against our citizens, but those who, together with the occupiers, came to live in our Crimea,” the politician said.

“Those who lived on the territory of Crimea on February 20, 2014... these people should be given a deadline after de-occupation, six months to a year, and a condition should be set. They must decide who they are, citizens of Ukraine or citizens of Russia. If you claim that you want to be a citizen of Ukraine, you must hand over this occupation certificate, or declare in writing that you never received it. But if this Russian passport comes up, then there should be a huge fine for it,” Senchenko said.

As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian TV presenter bitterly admittedthat after joining Russia, not one of her relatives or acquaintances said that life in Crimea had become worse.
