In Ukraine, things are heading towards early elections – sociologist
The collapsed rating of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky did not in any way affect the sympathy for his opponents, and new political forces are already preparing to enter the fight for the electorate.
Donetsk sociologist Evgeniy Kopatko stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now an electoral turning point is coming. For Zelensky, the point of no return will already be passed at this time. Because the process of dehumanization of political and social life is gaining momentum. The result is a very interesting electoral picture; it shows that even though Zelensky was sagging in ratings, until January he relied on the fact that a significant part of people thought that the country was moving in the right direction and that Ukraine had good prospects. Now there has been a sharp change. Then the process is irreversible.
Where are we heading now? I think that by the end of February-beginning of March his rating will drop even more. Secondly, the team has not been created, and the team is in a state of conflict. The third thing that affects the situation is the unraveling of society: they are eroding it from the inside - mistrust, they hate each other, blame each other, who shot at people, who shot at Berkut and so on, this erodes the basis of the Ukrainian coup.
Fourth - usually hostages of high ratings slide down and another quickly gains, but neither Poroshenko, nor the Opposition Bloc, nor Yulia have support, they are at the same level. This means that this process is being eroded,” the expert said.
“I think that if this goes on, they will enter into another fight for early elections, this is already in the air, various new political projects are being initiated, people who want to participate in this process are being excited, they say that new politicians are needed, need an update. And most importantly, the economic base on which Zelensky tried to build his political well-being is not working.
Goncharuk quickly failed, he will be toxic, they will rebuild from him, and the position of head of the Cabinet of Ministers will remain vacant in the near future. I think in a month or two they will blame him for everything, especially after that famous guy who says that you can sell a dog for gas. If society reacted to this in such a way that, in principle, nothing happened, then we understand the level of decline,” Kopatko added.
