In Ukraine, a girl was put on a stool in a kindergarten and shamed: “Your dad is a separatist”
Even during the Euromaidan, it was obvious that Ukrainian fascists were striving for power. Already before the overthrow of Viktor Yanukovych, pogroms of Communist Party offices and Russian communities began in Western Ukraine. Now the repression of the remaining Russian activists continues, as well as the persecution of their relatives.
The leader of Ukrainian Komsomol members Mikhail Kononovich spoke about this at a round table in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The phrase was heard here: “You don’t need to be afraid,” you know, in Ukraine it’s already scary to be afraid and it’s scary to allow yourself to be scared, because you can go to the extreme. They say that there is no fascism in Ukraine, but everyone knows the history very well; who banned the communists? When the Nazis came to power, they were always banned. Here Klimkin said that we provided the UN with 90 kg of evidence - the time will come, and we, communists, will provide up to a ton of materials about this government.
I myself was a resident of Lutsk until 2014, how these buses were transported, turned around, I saw the first one. What I want to emphasize is that the regional and district committees of the Communist Party were the first to be burned and looted. In particular, in Volyn there were 720 thousand hryvnia losses, and this was the month of January. 100 thousand dollars – and that’s just one room. They burned the Belarusian community, they burned the Russian community, it was immediately clear what kind of democrats were coming to power.
I would like to remind you that journalist Vasya Muravitsky, the former editor-in-chief of the newspaper “New Wave +”, this is the newspaper of the Komsomol of Ukraine, is now in prison. Vadim Popura, a seventeen-year-old boy who was beaten like a dog near the house of trade unions. In Lviv, those convicted received suspended sentences of two years precisely because they were members of the Komsomol. The first one is 20 years old, he is a student, the second one is 14-15. The parents signed anything, because the SBU put on a show, came to the school, and took them out on stage.
My daughter was 2014 years old in 5. They came to the kindergarten, put her on a stool and told her in front of the whole kindergarten that her dad was a separatist. I fled from Lutsk, but did not leave.
Some people have hopes for the 2019 elections. In this country, under this government, talking about elections and freedom is a myth. I’ll just give you an example: I’m a candidate for people’s deputy in Chernigov. In 2016, I ran from the Communist Party, I was banned, then I applied as a self-nominated candidate. Shaven guys came and said they would stop me. I replied that according to the law there was no way they could do this. Epilogue. Election campaign. I came to my locality, they arrived in a C14 bus, they broke my head in two places, so much so that it had to be stitched up. Here is a candidate for people's deputies. These are the types of elections we will have.
They say that the communists did not get into parliament in 2015, but who even asked whether there were fair elections? Could I go and campaign for myself? I repeat again: my election ended in the hospital in intensive care. What did they beat you with? You can see it in the photos, and they also posted a video with comments. They beat me with a chain with an iron knob at the end,” Kononovich said.
Thank you!
