In Ukraine, a drop in transit and cargo transportation volumes is recorded
In January-May, 252,2 million tons of cargo were transported in Ukraine, which is 2,3% less than the volumes of the same period last year, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is reported by the State Statistics Service.
109,3 million tons of cargo were transported by rail domestically and for export, which is 4,8% less than in January-May 2017. Transportation of grain and grinding products decreased by 15,0%, coal - by 13,9%, oil and petroleum products - by 10,0%, cement - by 6,2%, building materials - by 2,5%, timber - by 1,7%. At the same time, transportation of ferrous metals increased by 2,6%, coke - by 2,8%, iron and manganese ore - by 3,0%, chemical and mineral fertilizers - by 7,2%, scrap ferrous metals - by 11 6 %.
Oil pumping decreased by 6,2%, gas – by 5,4%. Oil transit decreased by 8,5%, gas transit by 8,8%.
