In Ukraine, heads of election commissions are receiving threatening text messages en masse
The heads of precinct election commissions began to receive threatening messages, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Zoryan Shkiryak during a briefing on the work of law enforcement during the elections.
“I received information that some heads of polling stations began to receive messages of a provocative nature,” Shkiryak noted.
In particular, the head of one of the polling stations is threatened with the death penalty if the “wrong” candidate wins at his polling station.
According to the quality assessment, such messages are not widespread yet, but there are isolated cases.
“We warn against such events. At the same time, I am convinced that Russian special services can also carry out this,” Shkiryak added.
Earlier in the Luhansk region they reported SMS threats to members of election commissions.
