This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Pavel Rozenko, the Government Portal reports.

“This must be a serious political decision, since the population census costs about 1 billion UAH. Of course, world practice determines the need to conduct a census every 10 years. But due to a lack of, among other things, financial resources, the census, although planned, was constantly postponed,” the official said.

At the same time, he noted that the working group on this issue would like to organize a census in 2018. At the same time, a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of 2015 stipulates that the census should take place in 2020.
