In Ukraine - as in Russia: in Kyiv they are calling to learn lessons from the tragedy in Kemerovo
The tragedy in the Russian city of Kemerovo, where 64 people, including children, were burned alive due to official negligence and the economy of the businessman-owner of a shopping center, including children, was burned alive, should become the reason for a total inspection of compliance with safety rules in Ukrainian shopping centers, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kiev political scientist Yuri Romanenko wrote about this in his telegram channel.
“For Klitschko and other mayors, now is the time to inspect the shopping center. Because I’m sure that security there is the same trash as in Kemerovo. In this, Ukraine is no different from Russia. Because in Odessa, at the Victoria camp, our children were in the same jar. And the main task that has not been solved in 26 years is to break these jars, where tens of millions of people are sitting, whose lives could end at any moment due to the fact that someone did not think, someone wanted a lot of money, and someone simply don’t give a damn about the lives of the “slaves,” wrote Romanenko.
The same point of view was expressed on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “112” by political scientist Svetlana Kushnir. She believes that all children's institutions in Ukraine should also undergo inspection, since the lessons of the tragedy at the Victoria children's camp near Odessa have not been taken into account.
“Not all city councils have learned from this situation. In general, we still live carelessly. Remember, our high-rise building in Kyiv was on fire. After this, all high-rise buildings would have to be checked. I think that everyone’s documents were checked, and someone even paid a fine. But in reality, unfortunately, you must always be prepared for unusual situations,” Kushnir said.
Let us remind you that a fire in the four-story Winter Cherry shopping center in Kemerovo occurred on Sunday. The fire was located on the top floor, where there are several cinema halls and children's play areas with attractions. So far, 64 people have been confirmed dead.
Last September, three children burned to death in the Victoria camp in the Odessa region.
Previously, a similar fire for similar reasons took place in the “Lame Horse” nightclub in Russian Perm - which became the largest in terms of the number of victims in post-Soviet Russia and claimed the lives of 156 people - burned alive or poisoned by smoke and carbon monoxide.
