Ukraine categorically denies the participation of Olympic champion Pidhrushna in the war in Donbass as a sniper
Kyiv, June 02 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Ukraine categorically rejected Russian media information that Olympic biathlon champion Elena Pidhrushnaya is taking part in the war in Donbass as a sniper.

“Russian channels cannot reach the point of insanity. This went beyond all limits of reason. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs needs to respond,” demanded MP Mykola Tomenko at a meeting of the conciliation council in the Verkhovna Rada on Monday.
He clarified that Pidhrushnaya holds the position of Deputy Minister of Sports.
Pidhrushna’s participation in the ATO is similarly denied by her husband, deputy Alexei Kaida from Svoboda, the former head of the Ternopil Regional Council.
“The main goal of the Kremlin’s propaganda machine is to provoke conflicts and discredit Ukraine,” Kaida said, commenting on information that the Olympic champion was shooting as a sniper at militias near Slavyansk.
