In Ukraine they want to abolish the hryvnia and introduce the euro
In order to save the Ukrainian banking system and the national currency, the hryvnia must be liquidated.

Such an initiative was made at a press conference in Kyiv by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the two previous convocations, the president of the public organization “Center for Research of Political Values” Oles Doniy.
“I came to the conclusion that it is unrealistic to revive the Ukrainian banking sector and monetary unit under the current government,” Doniy said. “I personally don’t see any other way other than the abolition of the Ukrainian national currency, the hryvnia, at this moment, because the existence of this monetary unit is perceived by the Ukrainian nomenklatura as a way for personal enrichment.”
In his opinion, we need to try to switch to the euro, which, according to Donia, is difficult, but possible, since in Europe the euro is used as a national currency not only in the eurozone countries. As an example, he cited Montenegro and Kosovo, which did not create their own currency at all, but first switched to the mark, and then to the euro.
“How realistic is this? It is clear that we need to negotiate with the EU, because Ukraine’s economy is many times larger than Montenegro’s, and therefore can be a burden for the entire EU. But this is much more important for the country than asking with an outstretched hand for loans, which will then be stolen, in particular through currency fraud,” Doniy believes.
Let us recall that at one time Oles Doniy was a participant in a mass brawl in the session hall of the Ukrainian parliament, after which he was hospitalized with a concussion.
