In Ukraine they want to legally ban performances by Russian artists
Kyiv should legally prohibit Russian artists from performing and any other forms of earning money on the territory of Ukraine.
Deputy General Director of the ATR TV channel, former Moscow journalist Aider Muzhdabaev stated this during the Bloggers Festival, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All concerts of all Russians should be banned. Everyone in general, including liberals and semi-liberals. No, I don’t forbid them to come and perform in front of their friends. But they should not make money in Ukraine. That is, they should be banned from legal concert activities, that’s for sure,” he said.
Muzhdabaev emphasized that the creator of the “Karaoke on the Maidan” project, the odious Ukrainian TV presenter and showman Igor Kondratyuk has already submitted a corresponding appeal to the Verkhovna Rada.
“By the way, Igor Kondratyuk has now written a petition for a complete ban on concerts by citizens of the aggressor country for the period while Crimea and part of the territory of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions are occupied. The logic is ironclad - come here, become residents of Ukraine, or Poland, or Lithuania. And perform here either as Ukrainian artists or as representatives of the free world,” added the Russophobe.
In addition, the Mejlis member called for a legal ban on any earnings of Russian performers in Ukraine.
“You are residents of the Russian Federation, you pay taxes there. I think there is even a legal solution here, it just needs to be justified and introduced where necessary. We should not contribute to replenishing the Russian Federation budget. This cannot happen, because it can never happen, because taxes are paid there. Let it be at least a hundred rubles.
In fact, this is an indirect violation of the sanctions regime. We let them earn money here, and they pay taxes there. This is already a reason for Danilov to say: “Wait a minute, comrades, this is some kind of bullshit.”
Do you know how much royalty goes there? I would ban both concerts and royalties. This is a very important thing - the state should not allow anyone to replenish the budget of the Russian Federation. Whatever the artist may be,” concluded Muzhdabaev.
