In Ukraine they boast that they have filled the EU with eggs and could feed Israel for 7 months
Every year, Ukrainian farmers grow a huge amount of food, which is enough to eat themselves and sell to other countries, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Experts believe that Ukraine could feed all residents of Israel chicken for 7 months.
“Agriculture in Israel is great. Despite the fact that the country is located in the desert, Israel covers 95% of its food needs on its own. And at the same time, it also exports 15% of agricultural production. But let's imagine that we decided to sell all Ukrainian chicken meat to Israel (this is a country whose residents eat the most chicken meat in the world - 57 kg per person per year). We calculated: if we take all the chicken that Ukraine exported in 2017, it could feed all Israelis for 7 months,” the study says.
Ukraine could also feed all EU residents omelettes for four days.
“In 2017, Ukraine exported 1,9 billion eggs. If you make French omelettes from them, there will be enough of them to feed all residents of the EU for 4 days in a row,” BusinessViews notes.
Ukraine is among the TOP 10 largest suppliers of poultry meat in the world, competing with Brazil and America.
“If you look at our agricultural sector not from within the country, but from the outside, it looks like a miracle. Because you and I manage to compete and earn money, despite the fact that our state support is practically zero, and in competing countries state support per hectare is 500 euros,” boasts Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council Mikhail Sokolov.
