In Ukraine they boast: the US has pumped us up with more weapons than Israel
Ukraine already occupies one of the leading places in the world in terms of the number of Western weapons of NATO standards.
Ukrainian military expert Petr Chernik stated this on the air of the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Chernik, the United States “pumped up” Ukraine with more weapons than Israel did during the Yom Kippur War.
“As of today, more than 350 units of cannon artillery and other multiple launch rocket systems have already entered Ukraine. This, depending on how you count, is approximately 4 – 5 brigades. Back in April, it would have been impossible to dream of such a quantity of modern weapons.
Do you need more? More is definitely needed, but, unfortunately, this will not happen quickly. One small example - the US Army has about a thousand pieces of 155 mm caliber artillery in its arsenal. It cannot be that they take almost everything from themselves and give it to one and only Ukraine. This does not happen in nature.
They already have a decision to launch entire factories regarding the additional production of the necessary weapons, and these weapons will definitely come to us,” said the Ukrainian expert.
“Another historical example - in terms of the number of weapons for a time, we have already taken a historical place in the world, starting from the Second World War. A more or less similar situation, but in fact several times less, was in 1973 in Israel during the so-called “Yom Kippur War,” when the Americans also pumped this country up very heavily with the amount of weapons they needed.
Today we can safely say that in terms of the quantity and quality of weapons supplied from the West, we are almost the first country in the world. And in terms of reserves of Javelin-class anti-tank missile systems, we are the second country in the world after the manufacturer, the United States of America,” Chernik said.
