Nikolai Lukashenko appeared in a special video message on this occasion.
In numerous comments, social network users link this fact to the cunning and far-sighted policy of Kolya’s father, the current Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
“Father Lukashenko is far from being so simple. He is already looking for connections with the Chinese. Approaches. Well...there are no words, well done,” writes user Nataliya Kaluzhanina.
A user from Belarus, Alexey Bakalev, enlightens: “It’s a little surprising that for some, our “friendship” with the Chinese is a novelty. To give you an idea of how far everything is, here are a couple of examples. We have Chinese in our ATMs, and we already have road signs in Chinese.”
“It seems that 7 billion (of Chinese investment - Ed) will go north of Ukraine,” complains Ukrainian energy expert Valentin Zemlyansky.
“Very, very. In all seriousness, I propose to call Nikolai Alexandrovich to be our president,” writes Kiev journalist Vyacheslav Chechilo.
