In Ukraine they dream that the return of Donbass will bring Kyiv $50 billion
The return of Donbass to the economic structure of Ukraine will instantly return 40-50% of GDP to the country. Verkhovna Rada deputy Nestor Shufrich stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the politician, the exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar in this case will decrease by half, and GDP will increase by at least $40 billion.
“If we reintegrate the Donbass economy back, then immediately GDP growth will be 40-50%. If now our GDP is 94 billion dollars compared to 182 billion in 2013, that is, half as much, then in the case of reintegration, but normal, human reintegration of the DPR, excuse me, Donetsk and Lugansk regions, then the GDP will increase by approximately 40- 50 billion dollars. And everyone will feel this, the hryvnia will stabilize, it will be forced to strengthen so much that perhaps the exchange rate will be 15-16. And this year’s budget includes about 30 hryvnia [per dollar],” Shufrich said
