In Ukraine, Merkel was diagnosed with Stockholm syndrome and dependence on Russia
Germany and its leadership, primarily Chancellor Angela Merkel, have become dependent on Russia, which is confirmed by Berlin’s support for the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
The President of the Ukrainian Center for Global Studies “Strategy XXI” Mikhail Gonchar writes about this, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports in an article published by the Kiev online publication “Zerkalo Nedeli”.
“Despite the documented evidence of Russian malign activities in Germany and Europe in general, Merkel repeats that “there are compelling reasons to again and again enter into a constructive dialogue with Russia” given the “great strategic influence” that the Russian Federation has in Syria or Libya and countries located in close proximity to Europe, and also emphasizes the need to complete the construction of Putin’s gas pipeline,” notes Gonchar.
According to him, such “Merkel’s twine” confirms that Berlin is already dependent on Moscow.
“That is, there is no Nord Stream 2 yet, but the dependence has already been formed. Obviously, the existing Nord Stream was enough for this. Merkel clearly exhibits Stockholm syndrome,” the author concludes.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Maidan activists equated Merkel with Hitler’s foreign minister, going out with the corresponding posters to the center of Kyiv.
