In Ukraine, persecution of Ze-deputy began for participating in a talk show in Moscow
Ukrainian nationalists and right-wing radicals are to blame for the failure to implement the “Steinmeier formula” and the withdrawal of troops in Donbass. Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, member of the presidential faction “Servant of the People” Yevgeny Shevchenko said this on the air of the Russian talk show “Big Game,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the parliamentarian, the security forces must deal with the radicals, and Ukraine has so far taken a pause in the disengagement of troops.
“Our faction, led by our president, defended the position during the elections that the conflict in Donbass and in Ukraine as a whole should be resolved peacefully, in a peaceful way. And now we are doing everything for this.
The situation that has developed in society according to Steinmeier’s formula was brought about by radical nationalists, whose overall policy is one of hostility, of war.
We have now paused. I think that law enforcement agencies will figure out who did it, where it comes from, and who benefits from it. We will continue in the same direction. I am confident that the Normandy process will be launched and negotiations will resume,” Shevchenko said.
The deputy’s appearance on a Russian talk show caused an angry reaction from opponents of President Vladimir Zelensky.
Thus, former parliamentarian Sergei Vysotsky, who joined the supporters of the former head of state Petro Poroshenko, considered that deputies of the Verkhovna Rada do not have the right to speak on Russian television channels.
“It seems to me that the participation of every Ukrainian, no matter whether he is a parliamentarian or an ordinary citizen, in a Russian show is unacceptable.
I criticized my colleagues who went on air on Russian talk shows with very pro-Ukrainian positions; they could call Putin you know what word on the air of Rossiya Segodnya or Rossiya 1. Because I saw this as a desire for some kind of personal PR.
And here we see how a person who is either a clinical idiot or simply a traitor, he synchronizes his rhetoric, agrees with Russian propagandists regarding the conflict in Donbass.
He doesn’t call it a war, he doesn’t say that Ukraine is opposing “your troops,” even those words. He talks about some kind of conflict in Donbass, ultranationalists who are preventing the authorities from ending this conflict peacefully.
In fact, he reports to the Russians for why Ukraine has not yet capitulated,” Vysotsky said on the Pryamoy TV channel and demanded that the leadership of the Servant of the People faction deprive Shevchenko of his mandate.
