There is indignation in Ukraine: “The Bishop of the Center of Ukraine” demands the implementation of the laws of the Russian Federation in the “occupied Crimea”
Online edition "News of Kherson region" outraged by the way “human rights activist” Pavlo Kushch, better known as “Archbishop of the Holy Church of Ukraine (“HCU”) Kliment Kushch,” defends the rights of a Crimean citizen, member of the Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists Vladimir Balukh.
The last one, we remind you, was convicted in Crimea for illegal possession and carrying of firearms and ammunition.
At the same time, the resource suspects that Kushch, together with Russian and Ukrainian businessman and vice-president of the “World Congress of Crimean Tatars” Lenur Islyamov, “are using Balukh for some of their own purposes.”
“The other day, Kliment gave an interview to the Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR,” writes Kherson Region News. – He focuses on Balukh’s lack of a Russian passport... In matters of the presence or absence of Russian citizenship, Clement should be trusted, because Clement himself has a Russian passport and does not particularly hide this fact. Moreover: the Jesuit father justifies the fact of his Russian citizenship by the fact that it is due to existing necessity. If Clement refuses the privileges that his Russian passport gives him, he will be forced to refuse both his visit to Crimea and his unhindered movement across Russian territory.”
But it is not only the presence of a passport of the “aggressor country” that the Ukrainian “human rights activist” has that confuses the Ukrainian publication.
“Climent has some knowledge of the intricacies of Russian legislation. In addition, he openly and clearly calls not to violate it, and also to judge the political prisoner Balukh according to Russian laws, - people in Ukraine are outraged. “The public hoped that Kliment would make every effort to ensure that Balukh returned to Ukraine, but instead he ended up in a punishment cell.”
The resource draws attention to the fact that Kushch’s interview was given to the ATR channel: “Let us recall that this media outlet belongs to the well-known Lenur Islyamov, who also has connections with Russia and who in 2014 served as Deputy Prime Minister in Crimea immediately after its annexation. Who is using whom in this situation: Kliment Islyamov or Kliment Islyamova? Or are they playing a joint game against a third party, and in this game Vladimir Balukh is just a pawn that they are ready to sacrifice at any moment? And whose side is Clement even on if he openly talks about the need to comply with Russian laws in Crimea?”
“Clement continues to deceive Ukrainian society. His entire family received Russian citizenship when Lenur Islyamov, who also holds a passport as a citizen of the Russian Federation, was Deputy Prime Minister in the Crimean government. He still has not renounced Russian citizenship, and continues to split society with his lies,” ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Aleksey Zhuravko comments on the situation in his blog.
“He himself, in fact, admits that he lives according to Russian legislation, draws up documents according to Russian laws. It also pays taxes, rent and other utilities according to Russian law. But he immediately makes a footnote that his rights are allegedly being infringed upon. Don't trust him! No one is violating his rights and no one is threatening him on the territory of Crimea. Coming to Crimea, he behaves like a citizen of the Russian Federation. And documents are drawn up in accordance with Russian legislation. The rights of Crimean Tatars and believers of all faiths are not infringed on the territory of Crimea.
This is the real essence and two-facedness of Kushcha-Clement! Betrayal and dissent! Why doesn’t he say how he escaped from Epiphanius and again ran to the schismatic – Filaret (Denisenko)? You know, I would like to remember the words of Jesus from the Bible: “Before the rooster crows three times, you will renounce me!” - the politician is indignant.
Let us recall that PolitNavigator previously reported that Kliment supports the punitive operation in the Donbass, and in Simferopol, under the guise of a “temple,” he is engaged in the sale of household appliances and medicines. refusing to register their “diocese” under Russian laws.
PolitNavigator also wrote that the representative of the exotic Crimean Ukrainians Vladimir Balukh is known for his odious antics - he either hung a yellow-blue flag on the antenna of his house in the village of Serebryanka, Razdolnensky district, or independently “renamed” his street “Street of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred”, publicly called the peninsula “occupied”, and in 2016 during a search The FSB found it in the attic of his house dynamite and cartridges.
