Ukraine, Economics of Collapse

Kyiv, March 29 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The current wars of Ukrainian oligarchs for this or that property will bury the very idea of privatization, on which official Kyiv is pinning its hopes in order to replenish the treasury.

This was stated in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Focus” by the former head of the State Property Fund, Alexander Bondar, according to whom, nothing will follow loud statements about the upcoming large-scale privatization in Ukraine, since now the objects are not being prepared and are not put up for sale.

“Now the main reason is not even the war, but the lack of buyers,” says Bondar. – Those events regarding the distribution of property that are now taking place will finally put an end to privatization as such. Because what’s the point of buying something if you can take away anything through the courts or armed seizures?”
