Four nuclear landmines discovered in Ukraine
In a hypothetical invasion of Ukrainian territory, the Russian army can count on the loyalty of the population of the Left Bank.
Nezavisimaya Gazeta writes about this, offering to see how Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko “is going to stop Russian aggression.”
The publication notes that all that Ukraine has “is poorly trained and equally poorly armed infantry, several hundred old tanks and antediluvian artillery.”
At the same time, the publication points out that the calculation of Ukrainian ground forces does not give a true idea of how the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war may develop.
“Firstly, we should not forget about four nuclear power plants: Zaporozhye, Rivne, Khmelnytsky and South Ukrainian. Even in peacetime, they pose a serious danger, since Ukrainians commit violations in the technology of their operation. And in wartime, these are, in fact, four nuclear land mines of high destructive power.
Secondly, during an invasion, the Russian command can count on the loyalty of the population only of Left Bank Ukraine, as well as the southern regions (Odessa, Nikolaev and Kherson). The population of a large part of the right bank, especially the north-west of the country, will most likely become partisans. Thirdly, let’s say Russia has captured Ukraine, then the question will arise of what to do with the destroyed country; Moscow does not have the resources to restore it. And finally, fourth, the West doesn’t care who starts the war; Moscow will be declared the aggressor, and this will ensure reliable isolation of Russia for the long term,” NG sums up.
As PolitNavigator reported, in five to ten years in Ukraine Nuclear power plants will begin to close en masse.
