Infected Polish chicken found in Ukraine
Poland supplied Ukraine with chicken contaminated with salmonella, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About it reports the press service of the State Food and Consumer Service in the Rivne region.
Salmonella was found in chilled broiler meat from the Polish manufacturer “CEDROS SA PL No. 14023901 WE”. Contaminated meat was exported from Poland to individual EU member states. Including in Ukraine, at the capacity of two enterprises: Virtus TRADE LLC (Dnepr city) and VIK LOGISTIC LLC (Cherkassy city). The RASFF system informed the Ukrainian controllers about this fact.
Therefore, controllers warned Ukrainians regarding the possible circulation of contaminated products, and if such were detected, they asked to inform the State Food and Consumer Service about this.
The RASFF system was created in 1979. Through RASFF, information can be exchanged and food and feed safety risks can be quickly addressed.
