In Ukraine, the struggle between the center and local authorities has intensified
The struggle between the central government and local authorities and large political players against small ones are among the main threats facing Ukrainian society.
Political expert of the Eidos center Viktor Taran stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“On the eve of local elections, Ukrainian society faces four major threats. The first is the desire of the central government in the fight against local governments to select them for themselves. The second is the desire of key political players to monopolize Ukrainian politics. Why?
Because it’s a little scary - when an alternative is born that can move four big parties, you have to fight it. The third is an economic, viral challenge. The fourth is the distortion of information from the central level at the local level,” said Taran.
