Thus, Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the Committee on Culture and Spirituality Nikolai Knyazhitsky said on Channel 5 that there is nothing Ukrainian in these marches, and they refer to Nazi Germany of the 30s, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Obviously there is nothing good about this march. These torchlight marches themselves are, in principle, a German tradition of the 30s, they are not entirely a Ukrainian tradition. The fact that Lvov is not for the Polish gentlemen is obvious, but holding this march on the day when Russia cut off our gas, and Poland provided its systems and we began to consume Norwegian gas through Poland, I think, is not very reasonable... I would not supported such actions, because the Poles so far, it seems to me, do not have any special claims to Lviv,” said Kniazhitsky
