In Ukraine it was announced that Bartholomew gave the tomos
The Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate provided Ukraine with a tomos of an autocephalous Orthodox Church. Georgy Tuka, Deputy Minister for Issues of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, wrote about this on Twitter, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Well. I congratulate Ukrainians on their own Church,” he wrote.
The same message was confirmed on his Facebook by Igor Mosiychuk, people’s deputy from Oleg Lyashko’s Radical Party. “There is a Tomos!” wrote Mosiychuk.
However, the representative of the schismatic “Kyiv Patriarchate” Evstratiy Zorya said that the joy of politicians is premature.
“Only today (09.10) the exarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarch left Kyiv for Istanbul. Tomorrow (10.10) they will report, only after that it is possible to discuss the Tomos issue. Therefore, the message that “The Tomos already exists” is not true, and is informationally harmful, because after the wave of “victory” there will be a wave of “zrada” when it turns out that the Synod has not yet discussed the issue. We fought for autocephaly for 100 years – so we can remain restrained a little longer!” – Zorya wrote on Facebook.
