This forecast was voiced at a press conference in Kyiv by Vladimir Bondarenko, president of the Institute of Political Studies named after. Taras Shevchenko.
According to him, the “false vote of confidence” following the State Duma elections could “push Russia into even more hostile behavior” towards Ukraine.
“This could happen within the framework of Zhirinovsky’s crazy ideas about including terrorist organizations, as we call them, the DPR and LPR, into Russia in order to force us to establish peace on Russian terms, which are absolutely unfavorable for us,” the expert fears. – That is, Russia’s hostility towards Ukraine will intensify. But I really wanted, given Russian meanness, for it to take place only on diplomatic fronts, internal demarches, and not on the territory of the ATO.”
At the same time, Bondarenko added that Ukraine will never agree to hold elections in Donbass not according to Ukrainian legislation, as “false partners demand.”
