19.05.2014/XNUMX/XNUMX during the battle near the village. Uspenka, Donetsk region, a DPR militiaman, a native of Nikolaev, was captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. To make him even more convincing and to give him the appearance of a malicious terrorist, SBU investigators drew up a report stating that two Kalashnikov assault rifles, one of which with an under-barrel grenade launcher, cartridges and grenades were found on him.
The militiaman was kept in custody for several months, until August 13.08.2014, XNUMX, after which he was released during the next exchange of prisoners of war. More than a year later, SBU investigators remembered him and opened a criminal case for participation in a terrorist organization and illegal possession of weapons.
The court considered the criminal case in the absence of the defendant, interrogated witnesses, listened to the opinion of a state-appointed lawyer and sentenced the militiaman to 8 years in prison. Now the court will wait for the moment when the militiaman voluntarily returns to serve his sentence.
