In Ukraine, a famous Maidan activist died
In Ternopil, at the age of 78, Maidan activist Ivan Mandryk, nicknamed “Grandfather Maidan,” died of a serious illness.
This was reported by the local TV channel “T1”, as reported by the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
According to the publication, Ivan Mandryk was in the squares of Ternopil and Kyiv from the very beginning of mass protests, where he carried water and chopped wood.
“I was on the Ternopil Maidan until January 3, 2015, and then I went to Kyiv. He lived in a Ternopil tent, went to Ternopil to change clothes, go to the market, buy 18-20 kilograms of meat trimmings and bring them to Kyiv. He spent more than half of his pension on Maidan. On February 18, he was wounded during the shootings; fortunately, the bullet stopped in his bulletproof vest,” the report says.
Let us recall that earlier the Ukrainian composer Vladimir Bystryakov, based on eyewitness testimony, said that Euromaidan militants were sent under sniper bullets by its organizers.
